This dredge has done a great job at catching gold but I hope by adding a smaller grizzly that it will do an even better job on the fine gold. What do you guys think? I'll know more after dredging tomorrow.

so what exactly is the purpose of the punch plate? seems like it would allow most to run right over the top as much pressure as that 4 inch puts out. |

Shay, I've tried larger and smaller PPs....The larger allows MORE water flow under the PP and tends to clean out the v mat...larger rocks will stay in the sluice...
Smaller PP = more water flow topside and a build up on the v mat...
Will see what your tests tells up...
Edit: I think a 5/16" PP will be better for fine stuff |
