From Wiki: A conglomerate /kəŋˈɡlɒmərɨt/ is a rock consisting of individual clasts within a finer-grained matrix that have become cemented together. Conglomerates are sedimentary rocks consisting of rounded fragments and are thus differentiated from breccias, which consist of angular clasts.[1] Both conglomerates and breccias are characterized by clasts larger than sand (>2 mm).

The second picture really shows holes and tubes that extremely hot water carrying dissolved gold could easily have precipitated thru and left solid gold as the water cooled. |

The really neat part is the rocks are already extremely water worn/smoothed and rounded. Then all the sudden in some period of time a major geothermal event might have happened to fuse the surrounding material into this shelf and encrust everything at what looks like very high temps... but I am probably wrong. LOL, what do you think Sam? |

It is in my expert opinion that you have a grant specimen of dinopooin. That would account for the major geothermal movement you were talking about. |
