RBD,
Welcome to the forum!
I'm assuming that you are Randy?
A few years ago I stumbled upon your website and followed along with the restoration of your family's cabin and also the exploration of the materialization on ya'll property, I thoroughly enjoyed my visits to the website.
It's been a good while since I have visited your website so I have some catching up to do!!

Hello Skip,
Yes I'm Randy. I'm trying to decide what the next journey is going to be. Don't know last time you went in to site, but I got tangled up with some weird quartz and those led me to answers that had been searching for, for MANY years. Feels good that I wasn't actually crazy and after everyone had looked at me like deer in headlights. HaHa |

Randy,
I guess my last visit was around the time ya'll had finished the cabin restoration, didn't mean to stay away so long but life got in the way.
I have read some of the new content on your site today, I will catch up on the rest in the coming weeks, real busy at work, everyone wants it done by or before Christmas. |

Welcome to the fourm Randy. We were just on Foxfire looking at houses, so we must have just missed you. My daughter and her husband have a business on 64 near you, and we are planning to relocate to your area.
Nice website, but most importantly, nice work!
It isn't unusual to have a counter trend intrusion of quartz as a secondary event in a fault system.
Make sure you are testing the area around the vein in the system. High sulfides always equal small gold as a secondary enrichment in the immediate vicinity of a auriferous vein.
Test, test, test.

Sam,
Yes, you had to be close. Thanks for the info. I agree on the test test test. Done a fair amount over the time and still plenty to do. We have really found an "abynormal" thing there, at least for our neck of the woods. It is a very strange beast/formation.
