My name is Brandon Malec. I am not a Professional Miner by any means! (' ') We are just a family that enjoys mining as a hobby and weekend warriors. We like getting outdoors in nature, rock hounding, and prospecting as a family whenever we can! (' ')
My wife & I have two children who both have some form of Autism or another. My son Ethan is 11, and my daughter Emily is 7. We all have extensive rock collections and have in the past year or so gotten into being able to do some prospecting. We have taken the kids out many times to Coker Creek and a few times to Tellico. They both seem to absolutely love being out there and in the water... not to mention the potential of finding something really cool and memorable. It is a great escape for my family... or more like an addiction. (' ') Gold fever twice a week and on the DVR, Gold Rush, Bering Sea Gold, etc plus looking on our own as much as possible. Daughter constantly asks if we can "go get the gold daddy?" We don't go as often as we would like due to living in the Morristown area now. Look forward to learning and sharing here. |
