That is a good video of how not to lift your Angus Sluice out of the water. All you have to do is lift the water in side quick and it shuts off the water flow. You wont loose any gold like he was doing back washing by lifting the out side. Also he should have slowed the water down to where he gets that nice V in the box and you know your catching everything. Thanks for the video Deerman. |

I dont even run my Explorer if I cant get a good V going...
I did a test yesterday just to see..here is what I did:
setup Angus M Explorer in VERY fast moving water, had a nice even flow with perfect V. It caught specks that I had a hard time seeing with the naked eye in great sunlight. I do love Angus sluices!
like shay said..(and others too), get that good V going and run it ALMOST flat and you will catch probably 98% of the gold. Atleast that has been my experience with it...would everyone else agree with 95%+ gold recovery when the sluice is setup and running just right? |

This demo shows the gold catching ability of the sluice
even when not set up perfectly. So, even if you don't
take the time or have the water to make conditions
ideal, it will save some of the values. A great selling
point for new prospectors. IMO
Thanks for sharing,
