I finally tried out my AU Trap! Had some water flow down on the creek due to the recent rain so I ran out Friday afternoon for a couple of hours to run my new sluice.
I classified to 1/4 into my pan, dumped the pan in my bucket and repeated until I had about 1/2 a bucket or so.
Then I sat, scooped and watched. I was mesmerized watching the sluice do it's thing.
When I got done I tested my tailings and they were clear so I cleaned the sluice and took home the cons.
Result:
Thank you to everyone that recommended the Trap! I like it.
A lot. |

Knew you would like that one. My favorite is the extremely quick cleanup and reset. |

#9 - “Au. Trap” Dual Flair & Dual Step Riffles - 36” x 14” (Variable)
2 Nugget Traps, 12 Riffles and a Boil Box*. This New Stream Sluice Box will amaze you at its Fine Gold Recovery. The Intake Flair accelerates the water flow speed & pressure and then, the Exit Flair suddenly drops the pressure and spreads the material out over a wide area which allows the Gold to easily fall out and is instantly grabbed by the riffles.
$125.00 usd plus shipping |

Right now is an excellent time to by an Angus MacKirk sluice form Shay. He has lowered the prices on them. They are the best sluices out there right now, in my opinion.I have 3 of them, 4 if you count my predator III. |
