I've been considering the Dry Gulch and this forum seems to have the most Info on Angus gear I've found on the net.

I have a few questions before I save up a couple dollars and make a purchase on one of these.

How much material can you run in one of these?
Is the 1000gph pump really enough to run a power sluice?
I can't find the dimensions of the sluice, does anyone have that info?

Thanks in advance for any help y'all can offer.

I have a Desert Rat and it works awesome. I have never tested the Dry Gulch but it has 400 more gallons per hour than the pump on the Rat and that should be way more than enough.

Right on. I don't have the extra cash just yet, but will you be carrying these in your store? I know I'm far away for y'all but if I buy from you, instead of direct, both you and Angus get a share. People seem happy with your service and I don't mind supporting your cause.

I LOVE the Angus gear I own.. I HATE classifying though. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll be able to get a new toy Smile

I once phoned Angus MacKirk and was told that the Eldorado and Dry Gulch are both 8" wide.

Southern Prospector, how wide(inside riffle width) is your Desert Rat please.??

I own the California Sluice Box JR. which is 7" wide and he recommends a 500 to 1000 GPH pump for it. I have a 1100 GPH pump from my Gold Cube for it but probably a 750-800 GPH would work for it.

Also I have an Angus MacKirk Grub Steak(or Grubstake) sluice to put on the end of my JR. so I have both riffle types, drop riffles and two step ramp riffles.
