Great idea for a new thread.

Here's a Word file of the checklist I've been building to use for my hounding trips so I don't leave without something.

I've copied the actual file so you can add to or delete items on no use to your needs.

Feel free to post any additional items that you think will help.

Having trouble getting file to attach. Continue later.

The file is a MS word file, (docx) and the forum will not accept it. I sent it to sp to see if he can figure how to get it on the forum as a hot link. That way everybody that wants a copy can down load it and open it in word. That will allow you to modify it to suit you.

Be patient, I'll get it on here if possible.

Dick, highlight the original text in Word and hit control C, then go to the forum reply body and click on the body, such as this post, and hit control v. This is how I post everything on this forum; I transfer from Word to this space, just like I did this post.

Hey Sam:

That will copy the text to the forum, but I'm trying to get the original Word file to upload to the forum. That way you will be able to down load the file back to you copy of word on your computer and edit the file to suit your needs.

Otherwise, everybody would have to retype all the informatin into their computers. Right now its in Word 2010 (docs) file format. If anyone would like it right away, you can PM me your email address and I'll email it back to you with my gmail account. With 200 members I'm trying not to have to do it 200 times.

It's 4 letter size pages right now, so I can print them and put them into a clip board while I'm packing and check the items off as I load up.

Dick,

If you copy it to here anyone should be able to highlight and copy it and paste into a Word doc. or any other word processing program and be able to edit after pasting it, I only have Word 2003 so I don't know if the file would be compatible with my older version.

www.filedropper.com

save the file first as DOC* file so anyone with an older version can view it to.

Yep sure is!

BUT, if it's sitting at home in the garage, Well you get the idea.

If your 15 min from home, not a problem. If your 15 hours drive from home and no hardware store near you in the mountains, BIG PROBLEM.

As a side bar, I just got back from SC. I took a day and went over to Franklin, NC. I stopped at Sheffield Mine and Mason Mountain Mine and bought some pretty rocks to bring home with me. Wish I had more time to explore there, but had more things to do. Gonna go back there next trip down and look at some of the other places.

As a little tip, Soon as I got into town, I stopped in at the Franklin Chamber of Commerce and talked to the person their and picked up a lot of information to take back with me to read over. It will give me a better
idea of where I want to check out next trip.
