It was nice to put faces and names together. I spent about three hours there and it did nothing but rain.
Most everyone was in good spirits, as good as can be expected, considering the weather.
Mr. Bill has been in poor health lately, but looked very well when I spoke to him. That's good to see. He's a nice man.
The three women I met were all dry, which should give you some indication of the IQ differences between the two sexes. On the other hand, Wes and Charlie were dry as well, which blows that theory all to hell.
I saw three guys whom I did not actually meet, so who all showed up? I saw James in the pix, but I didn't see him Saturday.

I was sleeping, while it was raining ahaha |

I would like to thank everyone that attended and everyone that participated in the outing for making it a success.
I know some of you drove quite a distance.
I want to thank Bruce for donating the nugget and gold pan that was the #1 draw prize.
Also Art for letting us use his Gold Cube for the clean up.
And Dwight for all his help.
Thanks also to all of you that brought sides and snacks for the meals.
This outing was a success because of ALL of you.
I'm looking forward to the next one already. Wes |

Had a great time and did not mind the rain. Mostly dirzzel all day. Heck we were getting wet from the equipment anyway. I was glad to have my homemade highbanker setup as I found some very small tweeks that could really make it sing. Hasving the type of ore with the clay really showed me what that thing could do. I am very pleased with the hopper and sluice. We could shovel as hard as we wanted and it was catching very fine gold.
Wes, did an outstanding job putting the event together. Also a salute to everyone else that helped out, brought food and supported the event. We even had some of our forum members just drop by to say hello.
I think the drawing for prospector supplies was a hit as well. If we need to start a money donation for future drawings, count me in. Details such as that really ramps up the event. Missed the pan and nugget by 1 number! Many thanks to Bruce for the donation of pan and nugget for drawing.
Food!!!! What can I say!!! Great job! Again, all helped out and Wes is the man on that nice grill! |

Just watched the video and the outing looked like a blast! Was the material bought by the load?

Nick, they bring all the material you can run in a day for a set fee.
If you run 1 load or 5 loads it's the same price. Wes |

Oh ok kinda like 'all you can eat' or in this case 'all you can shovel'. Anyone know how much total gold was found? Was 'eyein' this mine, looks fairly decent

Wes,
I'm a new member, sounds like a good first outing. I hope there is more I haven't found yet. |
