The pictures are not very good but they look like common iron stained quartz. You are in the right county for something much better though. Keep digging. Hint: This first specimens found in the US came from Laurens. |

Well,that was in my head,especially having the 6 sides,but was unsure about the color.By the way,I think I watched all your vids again this morning You've certainally got me anxious to get back out again!Thanks |

Give up? The first sapphires found in the US were found in Laurens, SC. Most are wormy but the nice ones are blue and or purple and make NC and Montana sapphires look like little bb's. Keep digging! |
